=== Lung === Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most widespread health threats today. It affects 329 million people worldwide, which makes up nearly 5% of the global population. Having killed over 3 million people in 2012, COPD was the third greatest cause of death. Worse still, due to increasing smoking rates and the aging populations in many countries, the number of deaths as a result of COPD and other chronic lung diseases is predicted to continue increasing. Therefore, developments in the lung's capacity for regeneration is in high demand. It has been shown that bone marrow-derived cells could be the source of progenitor cells of multiple cell lineages, and a 2004 study suggested that one of these cell types was involved in lung regeneration. Therefore, a potential source of cells for lung regeneration has been found; however, due to advances in inducing stem cells and directing their differentiation, major progress in lung regeneration has consistently featured the use of patient-derived iPSCs and bioscaffolds. The extracellular matrix is the key to generating entire organs in vitro. It was found that by carefully removing the cells of an entire lung, a "footprint" is left behind that can guide cellular adhesion and differentiation if a population of lung epithelial cells and chondrocytes are added. This has serious applications in regenerative medicine, particularly as a 2012 study successfully purified a population of lung progenitor cells that were derived from embryonic stem cells.
=== Determination in food === A number of chemical, physical, and microbiological ways can be used to determine niacin content in food. The colormetric method involves the König reaction with cyanogen bromide and can detect both the acid and the amide. The microbiological method uses a bacterium that relies on niacin for growth, such as Lactobacillus plantarum, and measures the extent of its growth. It can detect any form convertible to NAD+ by the bacterium (both the acid and the amide). An emerging method is isotope dilution mass spectrometry using deuterated nicotinic acid.

On August 30, 2019, she initiated a collective national effort to post similar collages with slogans opposing femicides. The messages paid tribute to the victims of femicide and displayed short sentences which describe the circumstances of the murders express more general feminist ideas. In July 2020, she opened a feminist squatting demonstration called "L'amazone" in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, a hotspot for both the collage movement and women in the arts generally. ==== Selective estrogen receptor modulator ==== Endoxifen is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) with estrogenic and antiestrogenic actions. In the first study to evaluate the pharmacology of endoxifen, it showed 25% of the affinity of estradiol for the estrogen receptor (ER) while afimoxifene had 35% of the affinity of estradiol for the ER. The antiestrogenic actions of endoxifen and afimoxifene in this study were very similar. In another study, the affinity of endoxifen for the ERα was 12.1% and its affinity for the ERβ was 4.75% relative to estradiol. For comparison, afimoxifene had relative binding affinities for the ERα and ERβ of 19.0% and 21.5% compared to estradiol, respectively.
