Untreated transgender people experience high rates of depression, anxiety, addiction, and suicide compared to the general population. The program was intended to be leading-edge, and many features of the program which were legal at the time, including Tribulus and intravenous vitamin C, were outlawed by 2014. Most of the supplements were administered away from Essendon's Windy Hill facilities.
